The fourth session of the EU-Russia Migration Dialogue focused on the legal migration issues was held at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic on February 7, 2013.

On 3 and 4 September 2012 a small scale national network meeting focused on the cooperation with relevant Slovak non-governmental institutions was organised in the town of Piestany. The meeting was attended by 32 participants from NGOs working intensively in the field of migration and asylum and the representatives from state institutions.

In June 2013, IOM Bratislava as the coordinator of EMN activities in Slovakia held an expert meeting of selected stakeholders actively operating in the field of asylum and international protection.

Representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of activities of the European Migration Network (EMN) in Slovakia participated in the meeting of EU information and advisory networks operating in Slovakia.

In the framework of the EU Funded Project CBMM, representatives of Serbian Commissariat for Refugees with a mandate to perform EMN National Contact Point (NCP) functions in the future underwent a two-day training at the EMN NCP in Slovakia on 9 - 10 October 2012.
