On 27 November 2014, the National Contact Point (NCP) for Ireland organised a conference Protection of Unaccompanied Minors and Separated Children in Ireland and Europe. The conference was attended by a representative of EMN NCP for the Slovak Republic.

On 18 November 2014, the Austrian EMN National Contact Point (NCP) held a conference entitled Young Refugees in Austria and EU – Circumstances, Policies and Perspectives. The conference was attended by a representative of the EMN NCP for the Slovak Republic.

On 5 December 2014, EMN National Contact Point (NCP) for Malta organised a conference in Valletta focused on four topics: unaccompanied minors migrating to Europe, events in the Mediterranean, assisted voluntary returns of irregular migrants and attracting business migrants. An expert of the IOM Office in the Slovak Republic coordinating EMN activities in Slovakia gave speech at the conference.

On November 13, 2014, the EMN National Contact Point in Spain organized a conference in Madrid entitled Migration as a Key Element of Competitiveness. It was attended by two representatives of EMN NCP in the Slovak Republic.

On November 3 - 7, 2014, the International Metropolis Conference entitled Migration - Energy for Planet, Feeding Cultures was held in Milan. The conference took place one year ahead of the Expo 2015 titled Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life, while introducing this event and emphasizing the significance of movements of people in the early years of this new millennium.
