Register for the 10th EMN Educational Seminar on Migration

International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of the European Migration Network (EMN) cordially invites to the 10th EMN Educational Seminar on Migration: Demystifying Migration and Harnessing its Power, which will take place from 17 to 19 June 2024 in Bratislava. The registration is open until 31 May 2024.

EMN inform examines family reunification practices and legislation for beneficiaries of international protection

On the 20th Anniversary of the Family Reunification Directive (2023/86/EC), the EMN inform analyses diverse approaches to family reunification for those under international protection. It offers detailed information on procedures in place in the EMN Member and Observer Countries, specifically when it comes to family reunification application procedures and developments since 2017.

Students from Slovakia and abroad studying at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences discussed migration policies

The European Migration Network (EMN) in Slovakia continues organizing workshops on the EMN educational tool Destination Europe. On 15 April 2024, twenty students of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of the Comenius University attended a workshop on migration as part of the course Migration in Context. The workshop was delivered by the representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Slovakia as the coordinator of the EMN in Slovakia.

New EMN national study examines the application of the Temporary Protection Directive: Challenges and Good practices in 2023

The latest EMN national study offers an insight into the main challenges and effective measures used to protect the rights of temporary protection holders under the Temporary Protection Directive in Slovakia, which was granted to people fleeing the war in Ukraine. The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding and address the diverse life situations of people granted temporary protection.
