This focussed study analyses to what extent the EU Member States and Norway use the entry bans and readmission agreements to improve their return policy. Specifically, the study focuses on the practical application of entry bans and readmission agreements by Member States, effectiveness of these two instruments from the point of view of returnees and Member States, as well as on their synergies with reintegration assistance. The text is accompanied by current statistics related to irregular migration and return.

Malá tematická štúdia analyzuje, v akom rozsahu členské štáty EÚ a Nórsko využívajú opatrenie zákazu vstupu a readmisné dohody na zlepšenie svojich návratových politík. Štúdia sa konkrétne zameriava na praktickú aplikáciu zákazu vstupu a readmisných dohôd členskými štátmi, pričom skúma mieru efektivity oboch nástrojov z pohľadu členského štátu a migranta, ktorý sa vracia, a ich vzájomnú súčinnosť s reintegračnou pomocou. Text je doplnený najnovšími štatistickými údajmi z oblasti nelegálnej migrácie a návratov.

This EMN Inform summarises the main findings from the respective of the EMN synthesis report dealing with the political and legislative framework regulating the participation of third-country nationals in EU Member States and Norway’s social security systems, as well as with access of this group of migrants to various social security benefits and healthcare.

This focussed study describes the legislative framework and good practices in the use of detention and alternatives to detention by EU Member States and Norway towards third-country nationals, elaborating more on grounds for detention. The study also contains information about types of detention facilities as well as on conditions of detention. Furthermore, the study analyses impact of detention and alternatives to detention on the effectiveness of return and international protection procedures.

Malá tematická štúdia sa venuje právnej úprave a osvedčenej praxi pri zaistení a alternatívach zaistenia štátnych príslušníkov tretích krajín v členských štátoch EÚ a Nórsku, pričom sa podrobnejšie zaoberá dôvodmi na zaistenie, samotným zaistením, alternatívami zaistenia a prepustením zo zaistenia. V štúdii sú bližšie popísané zariadenia určené na zaistenie a podmienky v zaistení. Okrem toho štúdia poskytuje analýzu vplyvu zaistenia a alternatív k zaisteniu na návraty a udeľovanie medzinárodnej ochrany.
