EMN Small Scale Meeting with the representatives of selected institutions working in the field of law making and implementation regarding legal and irregular migration, Malatíny, October 2018

On 2nd and 3rd October 2018 International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of the EMN National Contact Point for Slovak Republic organised in cooperation with the Bureau of Border and Foreign Police of the Presidium of the Police Force a small scale  meeting in Malatíny for the representatives of selected institutions working in the field of law making and implementation regarding legal and irregular migration of third country nationals to the Slovak Republic.

The aim of the meeting was to exchange information mainly about the effects of relevant legislative changes from 2018 in the field of legal and irregular migration of the third country nationals. Moreover, the meeting provided space for discussion about current challenges of the implementation practice regarding residence, return, visa, employment and education of the third country nationals as well as for the possible solutions to the challenges. At the same time relevant EMN outputs were made available for attendees.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Bureau of Border and Foreign Police of the Police Force Presidium, directorates of the Foreign Police of the Presidium of the Police Force, Police detention centres for Foreigners, Ministry of Health of the SR, Ministry of the Foreign and European Affairs of the SR, National Labour Inspectorate and Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the SR.
