On 13 December 2011 IOM International Organization for Migration as a coordinator of the National Contact Point of the Slovak Republic organised a meeting with its main partners in Bratislava. The meeting was opened by the Head of the IOM Office in Bratislava who warmly welcomed all the participants and thanked them for the cooperation in year 2011. Subsequently, she summarized and evaluated major IOM activities in Slovakia, which were financed by the European Commission, Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic and the Government of the United States of America.
With regard to the EMN which is coordinated by the IOM within the EMN National Contact Point in the Slovak Republic, the Head of the IOM Office in Bratislava informed the guests about its structure, function and as well as particular outputs.
During the whole meeting the main EMN activities were presented on a large screen. Various materials and outputs from each of the IOM projects including leaflets, national and synthesis reports were available.
The meeting was followed by the free discussion on the future IOM activities, evaluation of the past cooperation and possible mutual cooperation in 2012.
