EMN National Conference on Dignified Labour Conditions

International Organization for Migration (IOM) as the coordinator of the European Migration Network (EMN) in Slovakia is organizing an EMN Slovakia’s National Conference “Dignified Labour Conditions as a Tool to Fight Modern Slavery” which will take place on 1 December 2022 in Bratislava.

The goal of the conference is to support the nascent national debate in defining and implementing the concept of labour exploitation in the Slovak Republic. The conference will also feature good practices and experiences from selected EU and non-EU countries.

The conference aims to engage Slovak policy-makers, professionals and non-profit sector dealing with the topics of exploitative labour conditions and trafficking in human beings as well as representatives of local governments and academia who come into contact with foreigners and refugees. The conference is open also to the EMN National Contact Points from other EU Member States and EMN observers (Norway, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Montenegro and Armenia).
