ACTIVITIES OF THE NETWORK IN THE EU
The European Migration Network (EMN) provides up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparable information on migration and international protection with a view to supporting policymaking in the European Union and its Member States. Its activities focus on migration related to third country nationals.
The EMN consists of National Contact Points (NCPs) in the EMN Member (EU Member States except Denmark) and Observer Countries (NO, GE, MD, UA, ME, AM, RS), the European Commission and the EMN Service Provider (ICF).
EMN IN SLOVAKIA
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has been acting as the EMN National Contact Point coordinator in the Slovak Republic (SR) since December 2008. Other members are the Ministry of Interior of the SR, the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the SR and the Statistical Office of the SR.
The activities of the EMN in Slovakia are financed by the European Union and co-funded by the Ministry of Interior of the SR.
